Cut Out Shoulder Sweater

Cut out shoulder sweaters and mules are all over the internet. I am happy that mules are so in fashion right now, because they are so comfortable, bye bye blisters :)) I got this pair from New Look via Asos few months ago. I decided to go for a nude colour so that it goes well with everything and I can admit now that it was my best decision. Speaking about the sweater, it's my first cut out shoulder sweater. I did hesitate a little bit before buying it, because of the usefulness of this sweater. I have to admit that these cut outs don't make this sweater the warmest thing in the world. Knowing that I am always cold, it is a big issue. Anyway, the colour and cut outs are beautiful, but I won't be wearing  a lot this sweater in winter time :)) On the other hand, it's a very nice transitional piece in a wardrobe to have. 

 

My Style 2016

Happy New Year! I hope you had a great time during all festivities. I did and I am sad that everything is already over... Looking back into 2016, I am not sure if it was my best year, it was just okay, but I hope 2017 will be better and more fun. At least, I will try to do my best! The best thing what happened last year was our dog - English Cocker Spaniel, who we called Bambou. He brought a lot of joy in our every day life. It's crazy how dogs can be so happy and excited to see you every time. I know he hasn't made an appearance on the blog yet, but he does from time to time on my Instagram page.

Speaking about the outfits. Well, in 2016, there was a lot of grey, blue, black and white. My favourite colours. I didn't experiment a lot of with my style, I tended to stick with basics and casual most of the time, but this year I decided to challenge myself and experiment a little bit more. Fashion should be fun, and I guess in 2016 I forgot it a bit. I also noticed that I posted less outfit posts last year, so one of my blog related goals for 2017 is to create more 'My style' articles and to improve their quality, maybe change a little bit the presentation or at least improve my posing skills (I am speaking about my favourite 'right hand touching my hair' pose :)) So to start a new year, I gathered all my style articles in this post.

Midi Black Skirt

Let's talk today about midi skirts. Sometimes they might be quite challenging to style, but oh my, how feminine they look after all. For this autumn season I chose a black light material midi from Mango which I styled with a turtleneck, denim jacket and of course, boots to elongate the legs and to end up with a balanced look. This time I decided to dress down the skirt with a sweater, but next time I am thinking about wearing it with white shirt and classy heels. There are plenty different ways how to style midi skirts and to make them work for all type of body shapes. And today I am showing you one of the ways.

Pakalbėkime šiandien apie midi ilgio sijonus. Kartais jie gali kelti nemažų iššūkių norint suderinti, bet visgi kokie jie moteriški. Šiam rudeniui pasirinkau juodą lengvos medžiagos sijoną žemiau kelių iš Mango parduotuvės, kurį suderinau su megztiniu aukštu kaklu, džinsiniu švarkeliu ir, žinoma, aulinukais, kad šiek tiek pailginčiau kojas ir tiesiog gerai subalansuotam derinukui išgauti. Šiam kartui pasirinkau kasdieniškesnį variantą su megztiniu, tačiau jau galvoju apie šį juodą sijoną kartu su baltais marškinėliais ir elegantiškais aukštakulniais. Midi ilgio sijonai tinka visiems, tik reikia šiek tiek pasistengti juos derinant. Šiandien jums rodau vieną iš būdų.

Pop of Yellow

I took a long break from the blogging world without warning you, my readers. It has been more than two months since I posted something last time. I know there are people who even stopped checking my blog, because they lost the hope to find something new, but finally here I am. I guess I really needed this break even though I constantly had a guilt following me around for disappearing from this space of mine.

We didn't have much of the real summer in Belgium, but the September has compensated to the fullest. You could even have thought that it was a middle of July, because how warm/hot was outside. Now last few weeks are chillier and I enjoy seeing yellow leaves around me, especially when I take my dog for a walk, to hear the sound of them when I step, it's beautiful and magical, but at the same time I still don't want to let go the easiness and warmness of the summer. 

Photos of today's post were taken at the beginning of September. I have to say it's my favorite go to look. I start to realize that relaxed outfits are kind of my thing. I tend to opt for something loose, like this linen shirt, mom jeans and of course flats, or shoes with a little heel to make my outfit more feminine.

Štai ir aš, sugrįžusi iš ilgos pertraukos, ir neįspėjusi savo skaitytojų apie tokį ilgą dingimą iš bloginimo pasaulio. Žinau net kelis tinklaraščio lankytojus, kurie netgi nustojo tikrinti blog'ą, praradę paskutinę viltį išvysti kažką naujo. Bet aš čia, aš grįžau iš tylos, kuri buvo reikalinga, nors ir šiek tiek nerami ir persekiojama to kaltės jausmo, kad pirštai nemaigo klaviatūros ir nieko spalvingo neatsiranda mano internetinėje erdvėje.

Taip ir prabėgo vasara, kuri, deja, čia, Belgijoje, nebuvo labai dosni, ir tik atėjęs rugsėjis tai kompensavo su kaupu taip, kad net galėjai pamanyti, jog tai tikrų tikriausias liepos vidurys. Tačiau begeltonuojantys lapai ir ta ankstyvo ryto vėsa visgi išduoda, kad ruduo čia. Man labai gražu matyti tuos geltonus lapus ir girdėti jų traškėjimą, ypač kai vedžioju savo keturkojį draugą miške. Labai gražu, tačiau iš kitos pusės, dar taip nesinori sakyti sudie vasaros šilumai ir jos lengvumui. Kaip visuomet...

Šio įrašo nuotraukos buvo darytos rugsėjo pradžioje. Turiu pripažinti, kad tai mano vienas iš mėgstamiausių vadinamųjų "go to" look'ų. Tokie laisvi, atsipalaidavę derinukai yra vieni iš to tikrojo "mano" stiliaus. Kaip lininiai marškiniai, mamos tipo džinsai ir balerinkos, arba kartais bateliai su nedideliu/vidutiniu kulniuku moteriškumui pabrėžti.

Denim Skirt

EN   Fi-na-lly the rain has stopped in Belgium and we have beautiful sunny weather. While my family in Lithuania was enjoying real summer during June, all we had was rain, grey clouds and 15-17 degrees temperature. It can be quite depressing. So it's unbelievable how much a little ray of sun can inspire and motivate. I also finally got to wear dresses and skirts and all the summer attire. Cheers to that for sure!

Today's outfit is all about the beauty of this denim skirt. I used to wear a lot of denim skirts during my adolescence, but later they became out of fashion and I am very happy that they are coming back again. I found this skirt accidentally at the Pull and Bear shop while I was in fact searching for jeans. Fringe details attracted my attention right away. The cut is perfect and comfortable. So I bought this skirt without doubt. And this is how I styled it.

LT   Pa-ga-liau lietus pasitraukė iš Belgijos ir saulėtos bei šiltos dienos pakeitė tą niūrų orą. Kol mano šeima džiaugėsi ir netgi 'kepė' nuo karčio Lietuvoje, man teko visą gegužę ir birželį matyti tik lietų ir tamsų, apniukusį dangų, bei 15-17 laipsnių temperatūrą, tad bent nedidelis saulės spindulėlis suteikia tiek daug džiaugsmo, motyvuoja ir įkvepia. Tad ta proga ištraukiau iš spintos sukneles, sijonus ir visus kitus vasaros atributus. Pagaliau! Ploju katučiu!

Šiandienos derinuko visas dėmesys sukasi apie šį džinsinį sijoną. Pamenu paauglystėje labai mėgau ir dažnai nešiojau džinsinius sijonus. Turėjau keletą, bet vienas buvo pats pačiausias, toks tamsaus ir plono džinso, parvežtas sesės ir mamos lauktuvių iš Turkijos. Tada tai buvo vau, iš pačios Turkijos, ir dar šalia gavau džinsinį rankinuką. Jaučiausi pati kiečiausia ir ypač gerai suderinta apranga:)) Grįžtant prie nuotraukose matomo sijono, tai iš tiesų, jį atradau atsitiktinai Pull and Bear parduotuvėje, kai ieškojau šiaip džinsų. Bet tie paplėšymai taip patraukė mano dėmesį, kad nesusilaikiau. O dar kirpimas pats tas mano figurai, tai išvis jaučiausi nugriebusį pati geriausią laimikį.

Taigi palieku jus pažiūrėti, kokį derinuką sukūriau su šiuo sijonu. Gražaus savaitgalio visiems!!

Relaxed Weekend Style

EN   I think I need to get a new pair of mom jeans, because these are very comfy and I end up wearing them when I don't know what else to wear. But I've been trying various variations so I don't get bored and I don't keep on wearing the same style all the time. The last time I created this look you are looking at now was for a Sunday's promenade in the city. It was still a little bit chilly to go without something warmer than simple t-shirt, so I decided to shake the dusts off this old H&M blazer that I got in Paris 5 or 6 years ago. Can you imagine how long I have it?.. I should put this blazer on more often, because it fits perfectly and the cool thing is that the quality of this blazer is so good, it looks like I bought it only yesterday, still very neat. I can't even compare to nowadays h&m blazers.. The quality has really dropped... Okay,enough rambling about clothes, let's see the photos and get into the weekend! Have a fun one!!

LT   Galvoju, kad gal visgi reikėtų įsigyti dar vienus mamos tipo džinsus, nes šie tokie patogūs ir jau greitai tikrai sudėvėsiu, juk lendu į pastaruosius beveik kiekvieną kartą, kai nebežinau, ką rengtis. Žinoma, bandau sugalvoti įvairių dėvėjimo būdų, kad nebūtų taip, jog visą laiką vaikštau vienodai apsirengusi, o dar ir nesinori kad atsibostų. Paskutinįjį kartą sudėliojau derinuką, kurį matote šiandienos įraše, sekmadieniniam pasivaikščiojimui mieste. Buvo šiek tiek vėsoka vaikštinėti vien tik su maikute, todėl sumąsčiau, kad pats metas gerai nukratyti dulkes nuo šio senuko švarko iš H&M, kurį pirkau prieš kokius penkis ar net šešis metus Paryžiuje. Įsivaizduojat, kiek jam jau laiko.. O vis dar puikioj formoj lyg būtų pirktas vakar, nes kokybė tikrai jo gera ir visai nepalyginama su šiandienos H&M drabužiais. Net nepasakytum, kad manasis yra iš šios parduotuvės.. Tiek šnekų apie rūbus, geriau žiūrėkime nuotraukas ir lekiam į savaitgalį!!

Spring Layering

EN   The weather has been weird lately, so I still do layering thing even in late spring. I hope soon we will enjoy warmer temperature, because I am running out of ideas how to layer clothes :)) I hope you had a good week, mine was good and with a huge change in my life. I will tell more about it maybe in the next post or Instagram :)) All I can tell you now is that it made me very happy!

LT   Pastaruoju metu oras buvo toks nekoks, kad net vėlyvą pavasarį tenka sluoksniuoti drabužius, kad nesušaltum. Labai tikiuosi, kad jau greitai bent šiek tiek pašils, nes mano sluoksniavimo idėjos senka greičiau nei norėčiau. Tikiuosi, kad Jūsų savaitė buvo gera. Manoji praėjo sklandžiai, tačiau su didžiuliu pokyčiu mano kasdienybėje, apie kurį, manau, parašysiu sekančiame įraše arba pasidalinsiu Instagram tinkle. Galiu pasakyti tik tiek, kad šis pokytis atnešė daug daug džiaugsmo :))

Mom Jeans

EN   Mom jeans...oh how I like them..and only very recently I managed to find a perfect pair that fits me well and feels so comfortable. I've been eyeing few pairs of mom jeans at Pull and Bear store, because they do have a really great choice, but I faced some issues with their sizing until I managed to get the right size for me. I must admit that these jeans will be my favorite jeans for summer '16, because they are super comfortable, high waisted (my latest addiction) and have cute little holes that make these jeans look stylish.

I am off to Brussels for a long weekend. I am also very happy about Lithuania's performance in Eurovision contest, we got into the finals, woohoo. Looking forward to see Donny Montell rocking the stage with his song and moves, oh and his great salto. Yay go Lithuania!!

LT   Vadinamieji mamos džinsai.. ak kaip man jie patinka jau kuris laikas, bet tik visai neseniai pavyko atrasti tą vienintelę, tobulą porą. Daugiausia nužiūrinėjau Pull and Bear parduotuvę, nes jie turi tikrai didelį ir gražų mamos džinsų pasirinkimą. Deja, teko susidurti su šiokia tokia dydžių problema, nes pvz 36 dydis vienų džinsų per didelis, o jei bandai 34, tai per klubus neįsibraškinu.. Bet galiausiai po ntojo apsilankymo parduotuvėje, man visgi pavyko atrasti patinkančius džinsus ir tinkamą dydį. Hooray! Jaučiu, kad šie džinsai bus mano mėgstamiausio šios vasaros kelnės dėl savo patogumo, aukšto liemens (mano naujoji priklausomybė) ir mažyčių skylučių, kurios suteikia dar daugiau įdomumo.

Šis savaitgalis Belgijoje yra ilgasis, tad ta proga keliauju į Briuselį. Dar noriu labai pasidžiaugti Donny Montell pasirodymu Eurovizijoje. Vau, buvau sužavėta, taip užkabino, kad berašydama šitą įrašą spaudžiau replay be perstojo :))) Laukiu nesulaukiu finalo ir labai tikiuosi, kad mums pavyks. Pirmyn, Lietuva!!!!
