Tuna, Sun Dried Tomato and Capers Spread

Tuna, sun dried tomato and capers spread
EN   Do you like tuna, sun dried tomatoes and capers???? If so, well friends this spread is perfect for you! Honestly, I am not the biggest fan of capers. I do eat them, not tons of it, obviously, but what's good about this recipe that you need only one teaspoon of capers, so the taste is very subtle. I have to admit it was my boyfriend who made this recipe as an appetizer for our weekend dinner, but I liked it so much that I just had to share it with you. I'm already thinking about remaking this tuna spread for our next friends gathering.

TUNA, SUN DRIED TOMATO AND CAPERS SPREAD  from Le Grand Apero (-fait maison-) book

1 tuna box of 52g
2 sun dried tomato slices
2 tablespoon cream cheese with garlic and herbs
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon capers in vinegar
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 baguette
1 clove of garlic, peeled

- Preheat oven to 180

- In a blender place the tuna, sun dried tomatoes, cream cheese, parsley, lemon juice and capers that have been rinsed beforehand. Blend everything well till it's smooth and leave it in the fridge for few hours to cool.

- Cut the baguette to small peaces, place on the baking sheet and toast in oven until golden and crisp. Watch the toast carefully so it doesn't burn. When it's done, remove form the oven, let it cool down and then rub each piece of the baguette with a clove of garlic.

- Take a spoon of the tuna mix and spread it over toasts. Voilà, you can serve and enjoy it!

*My boyfriend made a double batch of this spread, so that's why there is a bigger quantity of the spread in the photos. In my personal opinion, double portion is the right amount :)
